Since Eric Bibb’s real breakthrough with the Opus 3 recording “Spirit & The Blues” in the Autumn of 1994 a great deal has happened in Erics life ! In the spring of 1996 he was an outstanding success at the London Blues Festival and later he was equally well received in Canada at the Vancouver Folk Bc Blues Festival. On both occasions the plaudits were shared by slide guitarist Göran Wennerbrandt who as well as playing on both of the CD’s also produced “Good Stuff”. The many successful tours which Eric has made in Britain have warranted recordings by the BBC and earned a lot of richly deserved “airtime”. On the new album we have in general the same fine musicians which contributed to the success of “Spirit & The Blues” including the gospel quartet The Deacons.

Bibb plays un-plugged blues in the same sphere and of similar calibre to Keb’Mo’, with chilling acoustic guitar sound and gospel-flauoured backing vocals; check out “Woke Up This Morning” for some wondrous testfying. Simply a gorgeous disc of music.”
